Fees Fees, Terms and Policies for Private Work PDX Spanish takes a forthright approach to pricing. Clear and precise communication is, after all, the core of our business. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our policies or pricing. Private work is any work engaged by a non-governmental, non-municipal party. These rates apply to businesses as well as individuals. Interpreting Standard Fee $75/hour. There is a three hour minimum. Travel time exceeding 30 minutes per commute is billable at the Standard Fee, in 15 minute increments. Conference (Large Group) Fee $80/hour. There is a three hour minimum. Travel time exceeding 30 minutes per commute is billable at the Standard Fee, in 15 minute increments. Our Mobile Interpretation System is provided at no charge for up to eight listeners. Terms: Due upon receipt Cancellation Policy: Please make every effort to notify us in case of cancellation. With more than two business days' notice, no fees will be charged. Notice of 48-24 business hours: 50% of fees Notice of less than 24 business hours: 100% of fees Support Technology Our RF Mobile Interpretation System includes a portable transmitter and receiving units. This technology allows for listeners to be integrated into a larger audience without disturbing the primary speaker or the audience, and serves up to eight people free of charge. Additional transmission units are available at an additional charge. This technology is especially helpful for large events, such as seminars, meetings and guided tours. Tape Transcription Tape Transcription Fee $60/hr. There is a three hour minimum. Tape transcription with written translation is billed at the Tape Transcription hourly rate for the transcription plus the Written Translation per word fee for the written translation. Written Translation Standard fee: 14 cents per word. There is a $50 minimum. Terms: 50% of fees in advance, 50% of fees upon completion. For fees anticipated to total less than $100, no advance payment is required. Project Fees For significant projects, a flat fee for a set of specific deliverables can be determined. Cancellation policies and terms are set per project. Nonprofit Discount Policy Certified 501(c)3 organizations meeting certain criteria may be eligible for a 10% discount. PDX Spanish allots a set amount of discounted work to be conducted on behalf of nonprofits during the course of our fiscal year. Payment Methods PDX Spanish accepts cash, money orders and checks.
